Tom Saliga is a native West Virginian and serves as an Elder at

The Pursuit. Tom has the heart of an evangelist…his passion is introducing people to Jesus Christ everywhere he goes. As an avid prayer warrior, Tom consistently looks for opportunities to share the goodness of Jesus Christ. As a professional machinist and supervisor for more than 31 years, Tom joined The Pursuit

during it’s first year of existence in Sachse, Texas.

“We grew up in church but did not really start serving the Lord until later in life.” Tom and his family attended different churches in the area over the years…they’ve made many friends and served in the Children’s Ministries and leadership, but something was missing. After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance for their lives, they believe whole-heartedly that they were lead to The Pursuit

where they instantly connected with the church members, Pastor Rick, his wife Tess and their family.

“The Pursuit is a church where your spiritual welfare comes first. You will be encouraged to passionately seek the Lord and be taught from the scriptures.  Everything is done with ‘Excellence unto the Lord.’  It’s a place where your family can come and grow in your walk with Christ.”

Tom is married to his beautiful wife Robin for more than 28 years. They have three children and have been residents of Sachse for more than 30 years. Tom is a skilled hunter, craftsman, taxidermist and cook…and loves to eat!
Tim Weide serves as an elder at The Pursuit. He was blessed to be raised in a Christian home, by godly parents, and received Christ at a young age. He has lived in ten different states across America. Tim has served a communications officer in the United States Air Force, a college instructor, and is currently working as a web application software developer while currently attending Dallas Theological Seminary, where he is studying Theology, Biblical Languages and Pastoral Ministries, and graduating in the Fall of 2016. He has served in different local churches across the country in various capacities including Elder and Worship Leader.
Tim came to

The Pursuit in 2014, and was attracted to the authentic family atmosphere—experiencing people sincerely caring for and supporting one another in every way. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another”

(Romans 12:4-5).

He enjoys the outdoors, fellowship, reading, and hanging out with his family. Tim and his wife of 33 years, Chris, live in Rowlett, Texas. They have three children and three grandchildren.
